After hearing ‘radical left politicians’ it’s no wonder Americans warm to socialism

Sky News host Alan Jones says why should anyone be surprised young Americans are favouring socialism over capitalism when they hear “radical left politicians” like New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio. Mr Jones said a survey taken last year found three-quarters of young Americans aged between 23 and 38 favour socialism over capitalism. “We have this here in Australia too”. “Would it be because the crop in which our political leaders come from are flirtatious or sympathetic towards the socialist cause”. Mr Jones spoke with Daily Telegraph columnist Miranda Devine about the issue. Ms Devine said the Mayor has "managed to trash" the city of New York in less than six-years. "He's defunded the police, that's one of his favoured tactics," she said. Image: Getty

But I also know a fair bit about Russian History to understand how dangerous Socialism is as well as read novels like Animal Farm as well as being aware of what happened to the Romanovs after seeing the animated movie Anastasia from the 90s.
Sure fiction is fiction with elements of true historic events tied up with a fairy tale but it is a good bridge to researching real history of what really happened and the lessons of the past that should never be repeated.

if you are quoting him he wouldn't have written "favor" this way. and "druthers" isn't common in American parlance. not even when you're trying to sound intelligent.
I'm skeptical that this is a quotation from Bill de Blasio, but of course I believe you about his proclivity for socialist policies because he is a very left wing Democrat. although his behavior is more about playing to the Democrat party agenda, which in today's world is centered around crashing the system so that Trump can't get any accolades. ...
