THE BEST ARROZ CALDO RECIPE (Exact ingredients below) Arroz caldo is also known as Rice soup, Congee or Rice Porridge is most popular in Asian Countries. It is a Traditional Filipino dish most often served as a snack or a meal on its own. It is perfect to serve during winter or rainy season or to someone who is sick as it gives you a warm feeling. Ingredients: 1 kg chicken thighs 1 cup of glutinous rice 1 cup of jasmine rice 1 medium ginger (sliced) 5 cloves of garlic (chopped) 2 small onions (sliced) 1/2 tsp ground pepper 2 tbsp fish sauce (patis) 1 & 1/2 liter of water 2 tbsp kasubha Season the chicken thighs with: 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp ground pepper For toppings: Spring onion Toasted garlic Hard boiled egg Chicharon Kalamansi juice Enjoy watching & happy cooking! I see i can use saffron instead of kasubha, since i dont think ill find it id="hidden13" here in nyc, but i dont think i should be using the same amount as the local kasubha. Thanks for sharing.
