@
@foxeymoore3 years agoI know you were disappointed that you could not make the dress but you have made a super top and I think that you will get more wear out of it than you would a dress. Lovely to see that you are enjoying your fabulous new sewing machine and it is always a treat when your gorgeous pets appear.🌹🥰 ...1

@
@vickident57623 years agoI've made this mistake before! Now I always pin every piece onto the fabric before cutting. Although I'm sure you won't make the same mistake twice. lol. Lovely make all the same, love your videos and especially your cats. ...
@
@cathoffman81933 years agoHi Michelle. I've never watched a sew along all the way through before - yours was wonderful and the top looks fab on you! Love your attitude, your spirit and your kitties! 💕🐈🐈 Cat

@debbiestuttgen18253 years agoLovely wedding rings. I can't wait to hear how you like your new machine. Love your videos.
@
@Beyondthepinkdoor3 years agoYour top turned out really lovely. That pattern is deceptively fabric hungry. It was so lovely to see you using your new machine😍 ....it made the most beautiful buttonholes
@
@kimwatts57503 years agoHi Michele, Thank you for a great sew along, the top looks lovely on you 🥰 I think I would like have a go at making one for myself:) Take care KimX
@
@lynnhunter57903 years agoIf you’re anything like me Michelle you’ll probably get more wear from the top anyway. It’s a lovely make. I’ve learnt from my mistakes and always cut out the big bits first. It’s not a total disaster if you can’t have things like pockets and waist ties. I’m proper jealous, your new Pfaff looks so lovely. One day maybe 🙂. Xx ...
@
@robintate9983 years agoI only found you a month ago, and I'm so happy. Your instructions are so easy and clear. I love your spirit of not being distracted, and going through with a top!! It turned out BEAUTIFUL as expected!! You are brilliant!! Following for life.💞⭐ ...
@
@geraldinemurch20393 years agoShame you ran out of fabric, but top looks lovely a great job. Why you got a thumbs down is unbelievable nothing wrong with video or your quality of work.
@
@debbiestuttgen18253 years agoLove the top. You may find that you will get more wear out of it as a top instead of a dress. It looks lovely on you. Well done!
@
@annettecowburn10963 years agoI always enjoy your sew_a_longs Michelle. You are great at explaining! Really lovely top, shame it's not a dress but it's a winner anyway.😍
@
@marinam69313 years agoHello Michelle! We all make mistakes...that´s sewing-life 😊 What a nice blouse, really suits you well and it is great for the office as well! 👍🏻 Your next project could be the dress-version. Thanks for another great sew along!!! 🌸 ...
@
@judithaltoft46903 years agoYour top looks lovely on you Michelle x
@
@rosemariemonks63763 years agoLooks great Michelle, you can always try the longer version as you’ve done a tracing and in a different material. Sure both will suit but perhaps try the longer one with plain sleeves? Love both tops you were wearing whilst sewing and the cats sharing your company. New machine working well, enjoy trying all your mum xx ...
@
@davinasewniceandhandmade42813 years agoIt looks lovely and it's very flattering. As you started to cut your fabric, I actually said, "no Michelle, cut the larger pieces out first!". A lesson I learned myself, many years ago. Anyway, at least you have a very nice top. I love your new machine, very well deserved. Thanks for taking the time to share your makes with us. Xx ...
@
@karenwoodhead3 years agoOh Michelle, what a co-incidence. I just started my kit yesterday. I got the other colourway - ocre. 1
@
@southerncrossstitches3 years agoIt’s beautiful even through it didn’t go as planned. Probably more versatile now Michelle, to work with a skirt or trousers or casual with a pair of jeans. 💖
@
@karenk3803 years agoThe top is really cute. It looks like it is light and airy. It would look cute with a straight skirt too. White or tan would work as well as the black. A button hole chisel? I've never heard of such a thing. That's a cool tool. I like the idea of using fray check on the button holes, too. Good job! ...
@
@yougotmeinstitches18473 years agoHaya. Oh my, I saw the bird fabric you are wearing in a fabric store recently that we both have, I thought of you when I saw it & now you have it on :) Aaawwww sometimes we all mis calculate fabric, do not worry :) Your shirt looks beautiful, such a pretty cut on you & the buttons go great :) Paw-friends. . . luckily no CAT-astrophe happened with their paw-help. Thanku 'sew' much for sharing. XX ...
@
@franbowers70323 years agoThat looks lovely on you, it would be nice to see the dress some time in the future. But the top is lovely on you xx
@
@bluebird45943 years agoPretty top. I really love the sleeves on it. 😁 Hopefully you can make the dress in the future. I have done that a couple of times and used plain fabric for the facings. Thankfully I am the only one that know it's there. 😂 ...
@
@MariSews3 years agoOkay! Fray check and chisels are going on my wish list. I’ve tried a knock off version of cray check in a black garment and it never dried clear. Yours looks beautiful.
@
@paulab75173 years agoOh Michelle, we’ve all made that mistake ….. once……🤦🏻♀️ I think this style and darker colour really suits you and u should consider making a dress for your winter work wardrobe 👌🏼 1
@
@linvin183 years agoI bought the kit too but not made it yet, did a toile with the shaped hem but didnt like it so like yours mine will he straight. Great tut x
@
@sallystapleton42373 years agoI feel so disappointed for you but it still is a fabulous top.. I am definitely going to get this pattern after seeing yours and Andrea’s. Glad you love your new machine…take care xxx 1
@
@doreenbradley38493 years agoShame you didn't get your dress but that's a beautiful top too. Love that style and suits you so well. Your videos are so helpful 😃
@
@rosemaryhannah34673 years agoYou've given me an idea Michelle. I sent for some fabric some time ago that was supposed to be a dark brown background with small, white splodges but when it arrived it was black not brown and I don't really want to wear black anymore as I sometimes had to wear it when I was working. So I wrote to the supplier and he gave me a refund but didn't want me to return it. It's been languishing for several months but seeing your top in a similar fabric I think I might make it. ...
@
@juliehale94913 years agoI have made this and it wasn’t a easy make to me. I don’t wear this top much because it’s a bugger to iron but I do get compliments on it. I wore this a week ago and it’s still waiting to be ironed.
@
@jounderhill69133 years agoHi! Another fab sew along - thank you. What a shame you weren’t able to make the dress but the top version look really great with the cut off trousers and I think it would look good over a straight skirt, too! Also, may I ask what tracing paper and pen you use for tracing? Thankyouplease. 💜 ...
@
@sandimichaels23243 years agoHow's your new machine doing? Love, love your black fabric. So gorgeous. Can you fold the piece in half and place on fold? Then againg, that may not work either.. The bottom of skirt will not flair out. I'm sorry. It turned out great. Well done.!!! ...
@
@robinlandtroop27743 years agoMichelle, thinking about your fabric shortage the problem may have been straightening out the hem from the shirttail to regular. It was probably just enough to push the length further rather than as tight as what it would have been. Hopefully that make sense. Know it was disappointing for you but love your finished shirt. Also, congrats on your new machine. ...
@
@suebuzz3 years agoThese things happen Michelle but I actually prefer it as a top. Could I ask what make your cutting table is and where I can find one? It’s so nice to see all the fabric fitting on in one go 😘
@
@janfranklin21143 years agoI just love a good sew along ☺️. Do you stand the whole time?
@
@ChristineSewsALot3 years agoI know you were disappointed not to get the dress, but the top turned out beautiful.
@
@margaretbryant64683 years agoHi Michelle, I heard you say you teamed it with the ultimate trousers.have you done a tutorial on them.i have bought the pattern but would love if you could do a tutorial. Xx
@
@janfranklin21143 years agoBummer on the dress but I think you will enjoy a top just as much. That’s why I always lay out my pattern and pin it down before I start cutting (that’s the way my mom taught me).
@
@tracyfrost3 years agoCan’t you put a big frill on the bottom like the Myosotis.
@
@lindasmith6853 years agoOh Michelle, how disappointing for you re your shortage of fabric. However it's encouraging for us newbies to see that everyone can make mistakes, I know your finished garment will be as brilliant as ever.
@
@cathytarapacz3 years agoIt's really pretty Michelle, I feel your dissapointment, the fabric is so gorgeous it would of been gorgeous to showcase it as a dress, but like all builder's say measure twice cut once,
@
@lindamahmood98293 years agoI would inform Guthrie and Ghani that there was not enough fabric for the dress
I can't wait to hear how you like your new machine. Love your videos.
Thank you for a great sew along, the top looks lovely on you 🥰
I think I would like have a go at making one for myself:)
Take care
