How to Cook Salmon in a Frying Pan. This salmon recipe is super easy, delicious, and healthy! When i started eating healthy I was afraid to make salmon for fear I would ruin it so I am sharing the recipe and method I use to get perfect tasty salmon every time.
Ingredients:
1 or 2 Salmon fillets
4 Tbls Olive oil (or butter)
1 clove garlic chopped
2 tsp lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste
Heat olive oil on med heat just below it's smoke point. If the oil starts to smoke then lower the heat a bit. Add salt and pepper to taste on the meat side of the fillets and then place meat side down in the hot oil. Cook for 4-5 minutes without disturbing the fillets. Then flip over and add the lemon juice and garlic and cook until internal temp of the fillet reaches 145 degrees (approx 2-5 minutes). Sever and pour a teaspoon of the oil from the pan on each fillet to add extra flavor.

@quantquill5 years agoGreat video, thank you! YouTube gives us the wonderful opportunity to watch your progression over the last couple years from wanting precise measurements of each ingredient, to this video's much more "it's whatever you like, make it to your taste!" recipe. I've been on Plant Paradox 3.5 months, and have done more frying, baking sauteing, steaming, blending, food processing, and pressure cooking than my entire life prior. I really appreciate watching your step-by-step videos and your honest feedback when you eat the end results. Thanks again! ...49

@lilMcChipmonk4 years agoI tried this out and was so impressed on how simple and easy it turned out to be and how amazing it tasted. I recommend using already grounded salt though, it might just be my salt thing but it came out a little too big of salt chunks. Also added a light amount of Tony’s on each side to add some spice and made it even better ...31

@justjosie89635 years agoThat sure is a lot of olive oil! But you acknowledged your taste. To me a waste of good oil and likely overpowering the flavor of such a nice piece of Alaskan salmon. I definitely would only lightly coat the pan. 170

@minilamma48793 years agoFrom personal experience, for more tender salmon meat, I suggest you to cook it slightly less than he did. You want to keep some pinkness and keep it less red. But that is if you are using sushi safe salmon meat. If you don’t know when it transforms from raw to cooked, I suggest you to not use regular salmon, use the sushi ones ...7

@ohhoot89743 years agoIs it okay to add like a ton more seasoning before adding to the oil? I’ve never done anything close to deep fry or heavy oil, but I like to do a lot of diff seasonings. Does this affect the way the oil reacts? Thanks for the help! ...5

@MsVictoriousrocks3 years agoHahhaa.. It's actually wholesome and funny that the lady jokingly called him a brat because he made a piece of salmon for himself only. But imagined if the roles were reversed where the husband calls his wife a brat because she didn't cook for him.. Mannn, the feminists would lose their s.h.i.t. and they'll say something like : "Uhhmmm she doesn't need to cook for you at all. Go make your own food". ...3

@busker1533 years agoI am definitely going to give this a try today! I have gotten good at cooking salmon in my cast iron pan, but usually only with a little bit of oil. I love the way that fish looked cooked in deeper oil! I'll try it in the Olive Oil this time, but next week I will take it for an Avocado Oil ride, and see how that goes. I love using them both in a lot of my cooking. The Avocado Oil is great for things that need higher heat, or that cook for longer periods of time, because of the higher flash point. ...7

@leylasamos6635 years agoI like salmon. I fry it in non stick pan with no oil . Salmos is a fat type of fish and while frying it you’ll notice the fat coming out from the fish. Too much oil makes it so unhealthy . Temperature must be low 17
