Turmeric harvester Developed by Mr A.P. Jayaprakash

During 2006 his friends told Mr Jayaprakash that there was high labour cost for harvesting turmeric. Then he developed a prototype and it was digging this soil with one feet depth and clods could not be broken. He developed 2nd prototype which is digging the soil less than one feet and able to shatter the soil so that soil is not sticking with turmeric rhizome. This model harvester can be mounted with power tiller and many farmers in Annur, Puliampatti, Nambiyur villages in Erode District have purchased this equipment. He has so far sold 55 equipments to farmers. The cost of machine is Rs. 22,000/-. as on June 2018. Address of Jayaprakah : A.P.
