In this video, I share my top 10 favorite battle themes in Monster Hunter. One of my favorite things about Monster Hunter is the music. It adds immersion to the games. Many of which will always be in the hearts of players. So today, we get into my favorite songs I listen to from the franchise. @zaxo2124 years ago Thanks for the video! My favorite battle theme/music memory from playing is still from Freedom Unite, when you defend the fort from Lao Shan Lung and he enters the last area. It's just the original Proof of a Hero theme that has different versions in each game, being the main monster Hunter theme. It always brings back such great nostalgia, and brings the game alive. @bass-dc91754 years ago One theme that did not make this list, is the one I think of when I hear "monster hunter".
Some might say "Rathalos" or similar. No. Each time I entered Multiplay, I heared the theme slowed down in MH3. (Yes: This theme slowed down is actually the hub theme for MH Tri's multiplayer area). Each Time I hunted this monster for materials and finally get to its lair, I watch the cinematic.
It opens its eye, inhales water, sprays it in your direction as the drums get louder and louder: And then:

A theme that starts off with a bang and becomes better and better as it goes on.
You vs this enormous Leviathan in an arena with weapons larger than life. Breaking of entire horns that you carve for materials, Ceadeus glowing red as it enrages, Pulsating with light as you pierce the Organs and it is close to death, but never letting up.
In a game with a hated mechanic (underwater battle) this battle showed that the team could not only do a good underwater battle, but a good SIEGE battle at the same time.
And to this day, after playing through MH3, MH3U, MH4, MH4U, MHX, MHXX, MHW and MHW Iceborne: The Ceadeus theme is still what I think of when I hear "Monster Hunter". ... 1

@dominiquebautista37694 years ago I’ve only played world and Iceborne but the Nargacuga theme, the theme for Hoarfrost Reach, and the Rajang theme have to be my favorites.
I do also love how the Guiding Lands is a medley of the other battle themes.

@Dredabeast954 years ago I really enjoyed the list! Deff my favorite theme is Valstrax, it makes my blood pump instantly! My top favorite list would be:
1. Valstrax Theme
2. Dire Miralis Theme
3. Apex Theme
4. Safi’Jiiva Theme
5. Ancestral Steppe Theme
But man theres so many great ones to choose from! ... 1

@MasterGamer154 years ago 3 themes i belive deserve an honourable mention. The frozen seaway theme from 4U aka Zamtrios theme is an amazing tune that made zamtrios into one of my fave monsters.. The alatreon theme for being super chaotic and changing just like alatreo.. And amatsu magatsuchi theme for both capturing the majesty of tge dragon of storms and to make you feel its anger during phase 2 ...

@clockwork2044 years ago Not my top favorite, but Shagaru's theme is something special. I think it's the only monster that has a personal rivalry against the hunter during the course of the single player story. And that final duel with just you two on top of that grassy and windy peak against a pitch black sky... that battle theme really plays into really well. Talk about epic. ...

Even if I love how... Chaotic? It's the chaotic gore magala one, the shagaru magala theme it's so epic! It really looks like it's saying "let's put an end to this hunter, we entered in two but only one of us will exit"

5. Glavenus
Theme is just amazing! It really gives me the feeling of fighting a Sword Master someone worthy to fight me. (I main Greatsword) the theme just screams intimitation.
4. Valstrax
I love valstrax Hes my 2nd faiforite elder dragon. The theme is super epic and fast pased and I love that!
3.Ukanlos
I love how mysterious it starts and kinda Unerving and then it starts to sound really intimitating telling you that thish thing isint going down easy.
2.Crimson Fatalis (Frontier) phase 1 & 2
The theme Starts being menacing like someting is Aproaching. Then it starts to sound kinda sad refering how Low crimson Fatalis has come after his defeat. Then it starts to sound like Hes mocking you throw chorus. When phase 2 starts it sound like youre made a huge mistake the Chorus starts to go crazy like the world was ending!
Chaotic Gore Magala
My faiforite monster is gore magala so might be a bit buyest but still chaotic gores theme is incredibles the theme is amalgamation both shagarus and gores themes switching between the 2 Trying to be the dominative one while you can also hear moaning and the music starts to slow down few times refering how thish monster is soon going to die and its Trying to give its all to kill you. ...

@therighttrousers3434 years ago I like Bazelgeuse and his mount theme, as well as Shara's themes, and Raging Brachydios' final theme (it reminded me of Bloodborne's LtHB theme, and almost even rivals it). This may sound weird, but I like the melody to Vaal Hazak a lot, and though I think the instrumentation really captures him, the melody is brilliant for not Vaal too. I've heard enough remixes and suchlike that I've come to that conclusion.
Also, I've been playing MH4U without audio, and when I heard Shagaru's theme individually on youtube, I thought 'that's fair enough.' But Dalamadur's theme! It's got tons of that old movie character that I love Namielle's theme for, like the kinda King Ghidorah that it is, with this royal, lordly, marching sense to it, at once telling you to stay steady and soldier on, but also that this is the king, and he too has marched through hundreds like you to fanfare all the same. Especially with the drums in phase 2, which I don't know when that hits, I assume when the tower falls, but it's not a hype-up, it's telling you to keep at it, keep steady, keep cool, it knows that this is a long fight, and to keep doing what you've been doing is how to win. I will say that maybe a bit more in the track would be nice, since I'm spoilt by quality soundtracks of today, if they could do what they did with the mount themes of World, and have separate tracks to cut to during his tower coil and beams. ...

@s_damen41403 years ago Just a small request for possible future videos featuring music focussed clips without you talking, in this audio-mix the music is so much quieter than your voice that I have to choose between hearing the music and having you to loud or hardly hearing the songs. It's much appreciated if the songs could be turned up to more match your own volume and so have a video with a consistent loudness. :) ...

He's got the best theme in my opinion and is super fun to fight. Still need to fight the Raging version though... ...

crimson fatalis theme lets you feel like this is the end or like your hunter is nothing compared to that dragon
dalamudurs theme lets you feel like a hero in a trial and as you are getting closer to beating dalamudur the music makes you feel more and more like a hero ...

@nyxxose4 years ago Have you heard the remix of the Zinogre theme from the 10th anniversary album? Also Iknow its not canon, but my god does it fire you up. Also you never played the best part of Valstrax’s theme!
Also try and see if you can get to Raging Brachys final phase solo. It feels like the Gleam Eyes fight in SAO. ...

@arikaaa694 years ago Shagaru's theme is really epic in the context of that final battle in 4U, but not as much outside of that. I prefer Gore and Valstrax themes, and especially the Chaotic Magala
