This is the original audio recording which gained widespread news coverage on Monday 15th February following our upload on the evening of Sunday 14th February 2016. See our original Tweet here: https://twitter.com/AirportWebcams/status/698992493837316099 Virgin Atlantic flight VS25 departed London Heathrow for New York JFK and was targeted by a laser from the ground West of LHR. The co-pilot was injured to the extent that, by the time the flight passed the West coast of Ireland, the flight was no longer capable of two-man flight crew operations. The flight declared Pan Pan Pan (urgent, but not life-threatening), turned around and landed back at London Heathrow. Aircraft was Airbus A330-600 registration G-VWKD.
