After many hardships and long, tiring days they were able to track down this snake of legend. The spider-tailed viper is considered a 'pinnacle' in snake evolution for various reasons! They are a perfect example of extreme niche specialisation. Little is known of this extraordinary viper. They are rare, hard to track down and even then, easily overlooked. There are not many treaths to this species other than wildlife trafficking.
