@daniellemylastname28113 years ago When I was younger, My mom had this friend who was a nail tech and had been wearing long nails since she was 16. Nail art galore, dangles, gems, you name it. She was used to them, and that was that. One day, she did my nails, and my hands became like foreign objects too me, because I wasn't used to them. And then one day, she needed surgery on her hand and couldn't do her nails for weeks. And her hands became like foreign objects to her. Even her finger tips became bruised because she hadn't used them in 20 years. She was so happy to finally get her nails done again. It's all about what your used too. No one is wrong for having long beautiful nails, or keeping them short and plain. Even though I can't function with them, I still admire them for the beautiful pieces of art that they are. ... 3

When I first met my husband, he used to ask "What's all this snow looking shite on the sofa?" I told him I'm a scale picker and here's what's up. He had no problem with it and could care less that I'm a ghost and he's super dark. What a cool dude.

My daughter is 12 and has suffered, yes suffered, from extreme eczema her entire life. She has covered herself up so much she is known as a tomboy. Her legs have been so inflamed she would be shaking and crying and as a mom knowing I can’t make it go away breaks my heart. She currently started a new medication that has really helped and for the first time in her life she is wearing shorts. She has never been a girly girl but she is starting to come out of her shell a lot. So this makes perfect sense and just know it’s what’s on the inside that makes you beautiful ❤️ ... 7

I have eczema, and a number of other chronic conditions and although most of them aren’t visible I get how things like that can make you feel. I’m not a fan of long nails but I look at yours and think they look gorgeous!

@melanieporquez97283 years ago Damn girl do I ever relate to this. This video made me tear up. I’ve struggled with my skin for my whole life. It’s been all over my entire body at some point but consistently on my chest, arms, and neck. Sometimes it would hurt to move cuz my skin was so cracked. Sometimes it would flare other places like my face but in the last couple years especially this last year it’s been on my face pretty severely. I don’t think I’d be able to deal with it on my face in my twenties but now at 32...it’s fuxkin hard and I cry and it raises my anxiety ridiculously but I guess I just accept it. @Tukitri3 years ago I have psoriasis too, and it develops really bad in my face, to the point that I used to stay home (before corona time) because all people did was asking what’s wrong with my face and if it’s contagious, like I have a mirror I KNOW THAT MY FACE IS FRIKING RED, and as you do with your nails, I rely on makeup and fun outfits to feel better, you do you girl💕 we all have different ways for coping and you don’t own anyone an explanation 💕💕💕 thanks for sharing🥰🥰 ...

@mabonniejungle....78513 years ago Thank you for this video Rachel 💚 My 15yr old suffers from psoriasis and keratosis pilaris and my heart breaks everyday when helping her with washes/creams/ointments ect she never moans but the effect on her mental health has taken its toll (she already suffers from PTSD due her dad being a nasty abusive piece of shit!!) Anyway i digress, she never complains so listening to you has given me some much needed insight and i will be forever indebted to you and i thank you for your openness. I've been doing my own nails for about 4 years now and only recently within the last year started getting into poly gel! I love it but I always seem to have issues with retention when I put a lot of length on them so I'm curious to see how you get so much fabulous length on yours and they stay on for a while! @tearalewis75323 years ago I too had my son almost 13 years ago, I developed psychosis of the scalp not long after he was born, slowly over time it got worse, and now its spreading to my face and arms. I have back issues from an accident in my early 20s back in 01, and now my back is horrible along with my hip joints, and hands. I also learned I have psoriatic arthritis, and being tested now for lupus on top. I totally get what your saying. I'm losing my hair now, and I also have PCOS, and my feminine identity feels so low. I have a wonderful husband who loves me no matter what, and I cant be more blessed. But it's a struggle, and when you can find something that helps you mentally feel better, do it. ...

@kelliesmith22553 years ago I have bad rosacea that affects my face and when its really flared it also affects the back of my head, neck, and back. I used to constantly scratch myself terribly on my back that now I'm all scarred up. I dont wear make up anymore and I usually wear sweats and hoodies. Every once in a while I'll wear Levi's. I totally understand how you feel. I have autoimmune disease too but of course doctors can't pin point which exact one it is and I lost my health insurance. This whole year with covid has changed my entire life since I'm a caregiver and people that I work with are high risk.
At this point in my life I dont care what people think anymore on my appearance and im finally doing things that are making me happy! I've always wanted a hobby and I didnt know what I wanted to do for a very long time and you have inspired me to start my plant hobby. Thank you! @dashyaboi3 years ago As someone who STRUGGLES with severe psoriasis I completely understand. Long sleeves and pants, and hats at all times in Texas summers... not fun. It fucks with your head alot. Also growing out my hair and facial hair at times to hide flare ups on my face really did a number on my depression. And you get stripped away from who you are when you're muted or controlled by "what clothes will cover me up the most" this made me tear up while writing this. Love you gal! And anyone else dealing with the same condition, sure we are different but none the less beautiful. ... 1

I wear fake nails a lot because my nail have become horrible and broken down.
